Stop body shaming: Vidya
Actress Vidya Balan has addressed the issue of body shaming via a video and called out people for passing derogatory remarks on others’ body type.
“Kabhi tu moti kehta hai, kabhi tu choti kehta hai...” Vidya says in a video. She highlights the discriminatory comments and jokes made at people regarding their looks.
“Don’t make jokes on someone’s size, colour. Everyone is different...that’s why everyone is special,” Vidya said.
“Most of us are potential victims of ‘body shaming,’ the widespread phenomenon of receiving cruel feedback when our bodies don’t meet the unrealistic beauty standards of our time,” she added.
‘I have recently recovered from an injury and it’s been a perfect time for me to be doing this film (Panga). I wanted to collaborate my personal fitness goals with that of the film. So the training of Kabbadi extended me to collaborate with people like Mustafa who has curated a fantastic strength and movement based fitness module for me.’

Actors Sonam K Ahuja and Varun Dhawan have praised Mumbai-based dance group V Unbeatable, who got a standing ovation from the judges of the reality show America’s Got Talent.
“Got a chance to dance with this team at the Wagah border for Street Dancer 3. They are unbelievable,” Varun wrote on social media.
Sonam also shared the video and wrote, “This is beyond amazing. They have come such a long way and are loaded with talent.”
‘Don’t agree with toxic masculinity’
Actress Meryl Streep doesn’t agree with the term “toxic masculinity,” and says that the use of the expression can be harmful for boys.
Streep addressed the topic while discussing an anecdote about a male fan who had told actress Nicole Kidman that he enjoyed the show.
She explained that she dislikes the term because, in her opinion, all individuals can exhibit toxic behaviour, regardless of gender.
“I don’t find putting those two words together because women can be pretty toxic too. It’s toxic people. We have our good angles and we have our bad ones,” she said.
