Thinking of opening your own start-up but the apprehension of taking the big step worry you. If you plan to do something that does not fall in the realm of IT and digital world and you find no one to help you then head to the third edition of  The Coalition where creative individuals convert their  ideas into sustainable business opportunities. “Over the two years, we learnt that there are hundreds of “startups” in the country that aren’t in the fields of IT and digital, and that each of these have unique issues that aren’t regularly addressed at startup conferences and workshops. The Coalition intends to facilitate discussion and solution-finding for these till now largely ignored areas,” said Arjun S Ravi, director of OMl. 

Founded by Only Much louder and Do One Thing two years ago, The Coalition started off as a boot camp for freelancers, entrepreneurs, students, professionals and other aspirants who wanted to transform their ideas into a business. “The event  last year saw more than 350 creative entrepreneurs, professionals, mavericks and artistes from all across the country.  The best in the business came down to talk, inspire and mentor at featuring over 50 speakers, 26 workshops, 55 pitches and presentations. This  year, we have over 300 speakers, 30 curators and 11 streams,” he added. 

The three festival of creativity will take place from March 4-6 and will expand its horizons to the field of photography, journalism, comedy, music, fashion and many more. These streams have been curated by a pool of 30 curators including Tanmay Bhat of AIB, Frieda Pinto, the global ambassador for Girl Rising India, and Guneet Monga who has produced films like The lunchbox and Gangs of Wasseypur. “The program for the three days is split across multiple venues including the National Museum, British Council, Akshara Theatre, et al.” he shared.
