Designer Manish Arora is set to add his quirky originality to classic diamonds. His collection at the forthcoming Paris Fashion Week will complement a high-end jewellery line from the house of Tatas.

Arora, the epitome of astute craftsmanship will hit the ramp at the Paris Fashion Week with an amalgamation of his work and jewellery from Zoya, the Diamond Boutique. He is confident about the union as both reflect creative fusion of similar vision achieved using different mediums.

The collaboration was born out of a natural synergy in design philosophy and a distinctly contemporary, international outlook that both brands share. “Zoya fits so well, with many girls wearing a combination of the two. It is almost magical. When I saw them on their online site for the first time and later in reality, it’s much more striking. Rather than clashing, they just fit together really well.”

Marking his 10th-anniversary at the Paris Fashion Week, Arora showcased two of his signature looks from his forthcoming spring-summer collection. Arora defines his collection as “a luxurious collection – with a lot of posh fabrics like silk and sometimes embroidered all over with elements like hearts, stars, feathers and flowers.” His collection will have around 150 pieces with an average of 35 to 40 looks.

The jewelleries were statement pieces, capable of making a woman the cynosure of all eyes in the room. Diamonds were the focal point in one, while the other combined pearls and diamonds.

For Arora, his clothes are about bringing happiness, joy and celebration to the ones who wear and treasure it. Known for his love for the colour palette of pink and gold, he shared, “I love colours and I’m very instinctive, so I blindly choose colours and make them work.” Over the years, he feels that his brand has been adapting to the changing scenario of the fashion industry but the real essence of the brand still stands the same and firm.

He goes on to define himself as a man who can’t live without jewellery and is strictly against synthetic fabrics.
