Amid controversies brewing over One Night Stand, director Jasmine D’Souza dispelled myths of the movie being about erotica while the leading lady Sunny leone suggested how women should speak for themselves
Sunny leone known for her hot and sizzling avatars onscreen has been pushing all the boundaries with her forthcoming thriller One Night Stand. Directed by Jasmine D’Souza, the film is produced under the banner of Swiss Entertainment and stars Sunny leone, Nyra Banerjee and Tanuj Virwani in the lead roles.
The sizzling beauty Sunny has gained so much popularity in a very short span of time. “Everybody kisses on screen, wears bikini and gives hot scenes. I don’t understand why only I am being dragged under the category of a ‘bold diva’,” said Sunny.
“People have a kind a of mentality that when a boy or a man do something wrong then it’s okay on their part but women doing the same becomes such a big thing and then she is judged and is associated with some bad names,” said director Jasmine on the concept of the film.
When asked that the film wrapped in almost 55 days, she sportingly said that it was possible because she planned everything well. “When you plan something properly then everything executes very well. I had everything in my mind what I want and how I want, so things went really smooth and I want to thank my crew for that,” she added.
Sunny shared her experience on women empowerment and opined that being able to take small decisions is the first step in the pursuit of becoming independent.
“When you talk about women empowerment, I can share my own experience. My parents have always told me you have to be independent. We must tell women to speak up. You don't have to yell, scream, fight or be physical, but stand up for yourself,” Sunny told the media here.
“It’s not about waking up and saying, “Today I am going to do it. It is about small decisions. You should be able to say to your boyfriend or husband that I am not washing the dishes tonight, you can do it... little things add upto you becoming a stronger person like both my parents shared duties,” the 34-year-old added.
With some steamy scenes to the soulful romantic track like Ijazat, the film shows the real side of the hidden truth.
The film revolves around how a married man played by Tanuj gets infatuated and addicted to Selina (Sunny) after a one night stand with her that changes his life and puts his marriage on stake.
The film is scheduled to release on May 6.
