The mega-campus placement drive of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a software service company, was conducted recently. There was a turnaround of 750 students. The company has surpassed US technology giant IBM in terms of market capitalisation. In 2015, TCS ranked 64th overall in the Forbes world’s most innovative companies, making it both the highest-ranked IT services company and the top Indian company. Total number of selected students from various colleges were 175 and 16 students from GNIOT group of institution.

The credit goes to Rohit Pandey, who is the Training and Placement officer at GNIOT. Pandey is a keen contributor to grooming talent and efficiently channelising the professional aspirations of a number of students. He has achieved this by organising entrepreneurship programmes, guidance and counseling sessions, industry expert lectures and campus placements. Keeping abreast with the latest developments in the industry, he has managed to not only remain relevant but has also carved a niche for himself. His journey can be best summed up in the phrase, ‘With consistent efforts, one can scale great heights’ and this is precisely what he envisions for talented aspirants.
