A National Symposium on ‘The role of Corporate Governance and leadership in Globalised World’ was held at SRM University Haryana. It has been one of the best ranked private universities in India for the past couple of years.
The symposium was inaugurated by the founder chancellor of the university, TR Paari Vendhar. The function had an esteemed chief guest, Theodore Roosevelt Malloch junior, who, apart from being the CEO of the Roosevelt Group and being affiliated to Oxford University, happens to be the great-grandson of former US President, Theodore Roosevelt.
He sought to highlight the need for corporatism in the world in his key-note address. “Combining the records of all countries, there has been an estimated loss of 35 trillion dollars which is still ensuing because of the global recession. Our economic vices and lack of reflection are resulting in us killing our planet and ourselves, in the process, bit by bit. Corporatism can actually play a pivotal role in survival by elevating our miserable conditions with shrewd handling of assets,” Theodore Roosevelt Malloch junior said.
