Aqua Grill at Pride Plaza Hotel makes its mark on the food map. By Jigyasu Joshi

You must have hosted a party for your friends at your place on several occasions and showed-off your culinary skills. Kudos! But that has just become a passé as Aqua Grill in Aerocity allows and encourages you to indulge in the concept of live-cooking.

The newly-opened restaurant with its poolside view and  serene sparkling waters, starlit sky, fragrance of fresh barbequed food all together makes for a beautiful evening. The restaurant allows the guests to participate in the cooking by wearing an apron, gloves and even marinate or rub their choice of meat and choose the methods of cooking.

Aqua Grill is a place with smoky barbeque from around the world. The menu deliciously incorporates Indian, American, European, Asian, Arabic, Spanish and Mexican grill. One can hence relish everything, from succulent sea food to appetising American, magnificent Indian cuisines grilled to perfection.

We started off with Barbequed Pork Spare Ribs and Paneer Kali Mirch Korma. The pork ribs were juicy and tender, spiced with in-house red sea salt. The spare ribs were soaked in Teriyaki. Taste of soy and Worcestershire sauce in the Teriyaki marinade made the ribs all the more tempting. Presented in a very simple manner, with veggies on the side, the paneer dish again stood out. The soft chunks of paneer had major taste of black pepper but to an extent that it didn’t ruin our flavour.

Next on our table was Galouti Kebab and Murgh ke parchey. The delicate minced meat kebabs were a treat to our taste buds. As it happens that the kebabs are so soft that they lose their structure while being served, however, the galouti kebabs here were finely shaped and the taste of green papaya paste and garam masala was clearly evident. The chicken dish tasted average. Better take on the chicken was possible. The chicken chunks were succulent but lacked spices, making the dish plain simple.

All in all the place, with serene ambience and aromatic barbeques, made up for a good visit and even better meal.
