BBMB announces that during the tenure of A B Agrawal, Chairman, BBMB, the water requirements of all the partner States were fully met, which has been acknowledged by states at various forums.
Besides this achievement, BBMB once again surpassed the energy generation target set by Central Electricity Authority for the first quarter of year 2013–14. BBMB generated 2983 million units against CEA’s target of 2409 million units which is 24 per cent higher. This splendid feat was facilitated by ensuring all time high machine availability during this period by 97.34 per cent. This has been possible by virtue of judicious planning of machine maintenance by BBMB and thereby achieving high machine availability as well as effectively utilising irrigation releases and inflows.
AB Agrawal has enriched experience in the field of hydro power, human resource development, corporate communication and other fields. His innovative and cost effective initiatives were instrumental in ensuring BBMB most economically operated hydro power stations in terms of operation and maintenance and renovation, modernisation and uprating (RM&U) work.
