Priyanka Chopra, who has attained global acclaim after her titular role in American crime series Quantico, recently spilled the beans about the second season of the series. Chopra plays the formidable Alex Parish in the series where she fights the bad guys, speaks the language in their accent, and fits the bill of the half-Indian half-American with ease. Talking about the show, she revealed, “Alex and a very important character from season one are going to be working against each other and what happens when Alex and someone who is closest to her are at loggerheads. It will be very interesting to find out.”
The first season of the crime drama came out last year and gained much appreciation from the critics and viewers alike. Priyanka spoke about Alex and Ryan’s pairing and said that the couple is now mature. “They are my favourite pair. They have had a relationship which is so solid for a long time now that it doesn’t just break because of a thing or two. In the last season they were juvenile, they broke like many times. This time you know they are engaged and they are taking their engaged relationship really seriously,” she added.
Chopra said, Alex in this season is confused at the CIA. “She is at the farm. She is at langley. This season is going to be hard on Alex because she is so used to being right. She is a right kind of person and she believes in black or white. Not in greys whereas the CIA is all about the grey. It is all about deceit and immorality and Alex is in a funk she comes in here she doesn’t know what to do who to deal with as it is a vertical of law enforcement in a way and that’s what she always wanted to do. She wanted to protect her country. So it is a very interesting place where you find Alex in this season,” said Priyanka.
The second installment of Quantico is out with quite a bang, Priyanka assured the audience and said, “Wait till you see what we have in store for this time. Alex is in the CIA and the enemies we are going up against are bad, like totally bad.”
Now, a lot of questions are bound to linger but the makers seem to know what they want and hopefully they will clarify all doubts in the upcoming episodes.
