PORDAC (Protection Of the Rights Of Differently Abled Children) has initiated an ‘Inclusive Wing’ at lalit Mahajan SVM School,Vasant Vihar for differently abled children. About 10 children with problems such as asutism, downs syndrome and learning disability have found admission in the Inclusive Wing.
To innaugrate the opening of the wing, the children were given a free treat with lots of fun activities at the newly opened branch of Bikanerwala at GK II. Dinesh Khandelwal (treasurer, Sarva Shikshya Samiti) and Reeta Pant (principal, lalit Mahajan, SVM School Vasant Vihar) were hopeful that many more schools will open up to initiate inclusive education in the country which is the need of the hour. One out of 80 children in the country are diagnosed with one or the other form of learning disability.
