I cannot explain how excited I am to see fruits and vegetables grow in my backyard. Mom was with me during the lockdown last year and we planted so many items. I am so proud of our little organic home garden. Now, I have strawberries, peaches, guavas, tomatoes, green and red peppers, and more.

I don’t have a set process in place. After all, filmmaking is an intuitive process. However, I do believe in doing my research and try to be meticulous when it comes to the details.

Every Friday now revs me up even more to take responsibility for my fitness, and honestly, I couldn’t have even lost these seven kgs without you peeps cheering me on! I hope I am doing the same for you. I still have to get to 75 kgs so I have to lose another 10 kgs and I will get there.

For a queer, brown, non binary, independent filmmaker to win so many accolades is surreal. I am grateful that Sheer Qorma won at the Frameline Fest. We have always been told that this is your limit, but then the universe finds a way to just give you so much more that you could dream of.

Once you lose your memory, it must be a living hell to have no anchors left. It's the most powerful and important tool, essential to survival. I think as you get older, you do go around examining life more and I enjoy it. I like watching old guys on TV, like Sinatra, who have passed away. There’s a great victory in recognising death and mortality while I’m here.
