The Agarwal Packers and Movers limited Sathi Scheme, launched in February, has been helping the large community of ex-servicemen become self-reliant and employed even after they retire from active careers
The Government has taken upon itself the task of skilling citizens, equipping them with an added edge and investing them with self-employability. In line with this, every segment of society is being looked after, including those who have served the nation as soldiers. A large number of servicemen retire from their duties at an early age and it is the second innings of life that needs to be supported. With the aim to offer an opportunity of livelihood for self-sustenance, the “Agarwal Packers and Movers limited (APMl) Sathi Scheme” was launched by the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari. Sathi is APMl’s earnest endeavour to provide an opportunity to all, empowering particularly Army veterans and unemployed youth to be an entrepreneur and earn their living with love and respect.
With the AMPl Sathi mobile app, the company strives to cover the remotest areas in 707 districts across India and reach the most deprived, unemployed sections of the society without making them step out of their convenient locations. The plan is to create around 15,000 employment opportunities with earnings of Rs 30,000 per month or more under the Sathi scheme.
Taking the agenda forward, a social and economic empowerment initiative was carried out by APMl in collaboration with Ybrant People and AWPO wherein 10 trucks were given to the ex-serviceman. Ramesh Agarwal, the founder of APMl, said, “The idea is to allow ex-servicemen to drive these trucks throughout the country and in the process bring about a remarkable change in the society by becoming self-dependent post-retirement. We have always felt that our ex-servicemen, who have always protected our nation, need to be self-reliant. At APMl we have created a scheme to turn them into entrepreneurs for their social and economic empowerment so that their self-esteem is maintained.”
The other initiative of the company is the APMl Suvidha, also a mobile app. The company strives to make relocation more convenient by providing its clients with all moving controls and facilities right on their mobile phones.
The users can book their moving options in any style, choice or pace anywhere, anytime using the app. APMl has the best professionals in the business to understand client demands and imperatives and customise services for the latter’s ease and comfort.
