Skills Academy Private limited has announced the acquisition of A4e India Private limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of A4e limited (a UK-based company).

This acquisition will allow Skills Academy to enhance reach into new areas across different states in India and also leverage the varied experience of existing A4e employees to help increase the scale of the business. A4e provides skill development, training and placements across various industries and states in India. Pia Singh, co-founder, Skills Academy said, “There is a terrific synergy between the activities and vision of both Skills Academy Private limited and A4e India Private limited. This provides us with immediate scale, adds experienced teams in states where we want to operate plus provides us with a good pipeline of contracts.”

Pramod Bhasin, co-founder, Skills Academy said, “We are delighted to welcome the employees of A4e India Private limited who have tremendous experience and a terrific track record. They have strong understanding of local requirement and good execution focus to drive impact by skilling people and placing them in jobs, thus making a change in people’s lives.”

David Crichton Miller, group director of A4e limited UK, added, “A4e is proud of what its subsidiary, A4e India, has accomplished in India, particularly its exceptional record of supporting people in rural and tribal areas in valued employment. However, the moment has arrived when A4e UK is no longer best suited to taking advantage of the growth opportunities in front of its Indian subsidiary and so we are delighted that Skills Academy’s qualities has decided to acquire A4e India with a view to realise the opportunities ahead.”
