In keeping with the practice of honouring alert employees who have taken prompt action in averting a possible accident, the Northern Railway recently honoured 11 employees with Safety and Excellence Awards at a ceremony at Northern Railway Headquarters Office, Baroda House, New Delhi.
The awards were presented by Anup Sahu, additional general manager, Northern Railway. The 11 employees who were felicitated are: Mohan Shukla (porter, Malhaur, lucknow division), Ramesh Chand (loco pilot, Delhi Sarai Rohilla, Delhi division), Narsi Ram Meena (assistant loco pilot, Delhi Sarai Rohilla, Delhi division), Balvinder Singh and Dilbagh Raj (gatekeepers, Firozpur division), Ram lal (loco pilot, Ambala division), RK Tiwari (loco pilot, Pratapgarh of lucknow division), Sudhir Kumar (loco pilot , Moradabad of Moradabad division), Raj Kumar (travelling ticket examiner, Jammu of Firozpur division), Amit Suri and Jyoti Prasad (travelling ticket examiners, Saharanpur of Ambala division).
