The actor records his Swiss diaries in the run-up to some smart PR innovation. By Team Viva
looks like actor Ranveer Singh, who is in the news recently for having had a tiff with director Sanjay leela Bhansali for asking questions about his role as Alauddin Khilji in his epic Padmavati, is desperately trying to draw our attention to some good things in his life.
Apart from his campaign for Ching sauces, the actor is these days into a photo travel blog on his social media profiles. The official reason is that he is on a much-needed holiday to Switzerland after the relentless schedule of shoots for his latest film Befikre in Paris.
But sources tell us he could make an announcement today once he returns to India. Perhaps he is considering endorsing a tourism brand, perhaps he is doing some nouvelle marketing project for Yashraj Studios in the run-up to Befikre or perhaps he is just into some innovative bit of self-promotion, considering any talk of him always centres around him being a doting “boyfriend” to Deepika Padukone.
Singh got a rousing reception on arrival at Zurich airport. Then he headed off to lucerne, his first stop on a week-long tour of Switzerland.
He shared his excitement on a photo-sharing app by writing, “Off for a Howl-iday w my homeboys...So friggin’ excited!!! Chal...can you guess where I’m goingIJIJ #euro #trippin.”
Singh was left awestruck by the panorama laid out before him as he stood on the summit of Mount Pilatus. But being an adventure junkie, he wasn’t content to just sit back and soak in the views; he tried many adventurous activities. Skydiving was something that he tried for the first time. “Wow! Killer! Fabulous! Simply out of the world,” he wrote of his first skydiving experience, which he recommended as a “must-do” for all adrenaline junkies. “Freedom of a different kind! Happy #IndependenceDayIndia,” he wrote on social media.
He also turned down the adrenaline by trying his hand at playing the traditional Swiss Alp Horn before indulging in some rich Swiss fondue. He experienced a star-struck fanboy moment of his own when he performed on the evergreen song Tu Mere Saamne, Mein Tere Saamne imitating SRK. “I was trying to feel the junoon but all I could feel was cold....haha.....I love you Sh Sh Sh Sh Shahrukh,” he wrote in a micro-blogging site.
He visited Kursaal Garden as a mark of respect to legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra who shot so many of his films in Switzerland. A water baby with a thirst for adventure, he piloted a motor-boat as well as tried his hand at wakeboarding and stand-up paddling.
He cheated his diet by visiting the Funky Chocolate Club, as he got a chance to indulge himself to his heart’s content in its heavenly goodness. Chocolates are true indulgence that he absolutely cannot resist. looks that Ranveer had an amazing experience and there is lot more in store.
He turned a bit philosophical too, quoting poet Robert Frost (“The woods are lovely dark and deep...”) in front of a lush forest. He felt like a “nomadic soul passing through this life” at Golden Pass, Interlaken.
The actor will soon be seen in Ranveer Ching Returns, a project by Rohit Shetty. A massive premiere has been planned in Mumbai.
