Much-rated show talks about Vietnam war
Oscar and Emmy winners Steve Golin, Greg Yaitanes and logan Marshall-Green have come up with another crime drama television series, Quarry. The show is based on the book series of the same name and stars logan Marshall-Green, Peter Mullan, Jodi Balflour, Edoardo Ballerini and Jamie Hector.
Quarry centres around a disillusioned Vietnam War veteran named Mac Conway played by logan Marshall-Green, who returns home to Memphis from Vietnam in 1972 and finds difficulty in settling back into civilian life. He finds himself shunned by those he loves and demonised by the public. Both Mac and his friend Arthur are pariahs in the media for their supposed role in the massacre of Vietnamese civilians. As he struggles to cope with his experiences at war, Conway is drawn into a network of killing and corruption that spans the length of the Mississippi River when they attract the eye of the mysterious Broker (Olive Kitteridge’s Peter Mullan), who runs a shadowy network of hitmen and sees potential in these two trained killers.
The Vietnam era crime drama premiers September 14 on Star World Premiere HD at 10 pm.
