Power Grid Corporation of India ltd. (POWERGRID) has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ministry of Power, Govt. of India on August 2, 2016 detailing various targets to be achieved by
POWERGRID during FY 2016-17. The MoU has been signed by Shri Pradeep Kumar Pujari, Secretary
(Power), Government of India and Shri I.S. Jha, Chairman & Managing Director, POWERGRID in the presence of Addl. Secretary, Ministry of Power, Govt. of India, Joint Secretary (Trans), Ministry of Power,Govt. of India, Joint Secretary (FA), Ministry of Power, Govt. of India, Director (Finance), POWERGRID and other senior officials from Ministry of Power, Govt. of India and POWERGRID.
In the MoU, apart from setting physical & financial targets, special emphasis has been given to various activities under Technology Upgradation, Project Execution, Other Business Segment etc.
POWERGRID, a Navratna Company and the Central Transmission Utility (CTU) of the country, has been consistently receiving highest rating i.e., “Excellent” under MoU since signing of the first MoU in 1993-94.
