The makers of Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge are back with a new movie Guest Iin london, which has a dash of humour with an emotional touch, says Team Viva
The movie Guest Iin london revolves around Kartik Aaryan who plays Aaryan Grover. Grover works in a software company and is in a live-in relationship with Kriti Kharbanda who portrays Anaya Patel , a student and a part-time taxi driver. They are living happily until Paresh Rawal and Tanvi Azmi enter as guests in their life.
The reponse from the audience after seeing the trailer of the movie has been encouraging. The trailer has been appreciated and Rawal’s comic timing is impeccable.
The film is about a sham marriage between a software engineer (Kartik Aaryan) whose UK visa is about to expire and a woman cabbie (Kriti Kharbanda) who has had a hard life, sleeps in her taxi, and is in need of money. Throw in an old Punjabi couple (Paresh Rawal and Tanvi Azmi) who land up in london looking for a home to stay in. Rawal is Punjabi-spewing chacha who forcibly parks himself into the to-be-married couple’s home. Ashwini Dhir, the director of the movie says, “In India we treat our guests as God, but in london it’s an entirely different experience. The script has been written well and the actors have portrayed their roles ably.”
Rawal reprises his role of a guest from his previous movie, Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge. Dhir says “His role is same as the guest in his earlier movie but other than his character, there are no similarities between the two. It is more emotional than the previous one.”
Kharbanda, the lead actor has worked with a senior actor for the first time. He says, “It was an amazing experience working with Paresh Rawal. As a senior, he always advised me and appreciated for my good work.” After seeing the trailer of the movie, the on-screen jodi and chemistry between Rawal and Aaryan has been appreciated. Aaryan will next be seen in Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. He is working with his co-star Nushrat Bharucha for the fourth time.
Kharbanda, the lead actress of the movie starred in the horror movie, Raaz: Reboot. She says, “Working in a comedy movie after a horror movie was an entirely different experience.” She shares her experience of working with Rawal and Aaryan “Working with Paresh Ji was a very good experience. He is the same person from last 30 years but changes his personality on screen and the younger generation needs to learn from him. Sharing the screen with Kartik was easier because they come from the same generation. They understand each other and helped each other to portray their characters. Her next outing is in Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana opposite Rajkummar Rao and is directed by Ratna Sinha. She is also working in Veere Di Wedding opposite Pulkit Samrat.
