Now, a colonial hotspot

Now, a colonial hotspot

Period furnishings, antiques, post and beam design, old wooden floors and waitresses dressed up in colonial-like apparel could grace you the moment you arrive in the heart of New Delhi. A throwback to the times of colonial India, The Colonnade in Connaught Place is the first lifestyle hub offering a plethora of restaurants and a food court for food lovers. From Mamagoto, Café Delhi Heights, Jamie’s Pizzeria to a food court, ‘The Courtyard’, offering quick dining options such as Burger King, Kylin, Punjabi By Nature, Pita Pit, Fat lulu’s, Wow Momo and Habibi among others, this place is a one-of-its-kind project  that pays tribute to the culture and nostalgia of its historic location.

Conceptualised by Manav Deep Singh, the focus is on the customer’s experience of a classic mid-market food court as well as some casual dining restaurants with a focus on entertainment events happening daily. The entire concept is based on the central theme of “Dilli ka Dil” and is expected to put CP a notch higher on the happening stakes. Says Singh, “The Colonnade  symbolises a building with pillars. So we decided to craft a new lifestyle experience in keeping with past grandeur. The Colonnade will eventually become an ultimate destination, with offerings to suit every pocket and occasion with live music, shopping, events, great food and a whole lot of fun activities around the year. A mix of casual dining and easy dining options, this hub will later see select fashion and retail brands in the premises as well.”
