Bringing the house down with their charming personalities, hilarious banter and enviable wit, Ranveer and Ranbir will set the ball rolling on the fourth episode of Koffee with Karan Season 5
Karan will grill the boys on their history with Deepika Padukone, SRK’s padded underwear comment and much more. But not to be easily stumped by Karan, Ranbir and Ranveer respond in their truly Besharam and Befikre styles.
While fans will be able to witness the Ranbir-Ranveer bromance on the much awaited episode, the bonding is supposedly not limited to the show. Did you know the supremely talented actor Ranbir Kapoor wants to don the director’s hat one dayIJ On the show, the two actors speak about wanting to star in a film together directed by Ranbir. Temporarily called Project X, the actor duo also offer Karan Johar chance to produce the film.
The boys go on to talk about the common love factor between them. Deepika Padukone you sayIJ Not really! We are talking about the renowned director Sanjay leela Bhansali. Being quizzed about their current equation with the profound filmmaker, Ranbir talks about his once in a lifetime experience of working on the sets of Black and how Bhansali has been the biggest cinematic influence in his life. Ranveer adds to the conversation terming Bhansali as a complete actor’s director, being one of the few directors who gives an artist wings to fly. Clearly, no loss of love from the Saawariya and Bajirao Mastani actors for Bhansali.
Seen as the two current reigning superstars of Bollywood, they have always been pitted against each other and when quizzed about their relationship dynamics and views about each other as competitors, Ranbir accepts that they are not the best of friends but does add that they respect each other’s work. Ranbir says he’s glad to have competition in Ranveer as he inspires him and is a little scared that Ranveer has no limits. Ranveer returns the compliments by accepting that Ranbir has always been the benchmark.
Reacting to Shah Rukh Khan’s jibe on the first episode of the chat show when he said he was curious if the actor was wearing padded underwear in his next film. “I am just saving them (makers of Befikre) post-production cost. Otherwise, they will have to do VFX on my red chillies,” said Ranveer, tongue firmly in cheek, referring to SRK’s production banner.
He also shared his insights on having “space” in relationships by saying, “If you want space and all, you should join NASA. There is no such thing called ‘space’”.
And just when you thought the episode couldn’t pack more punch, Arjun Kapoor joins the steaming couch in which he gets kissed by Ranbir when Karan asked the latter if he has dated any of his friend’s exes.
