Mohit Chauhan and Neeti Mohan have lent their voices for the opening track of a television show. Chauhan tells S Mallik that he agreed to sing it because it was romantic and also that he will be playing an important role in the show
Mohit Chauhan has melted our hearts with Tum se hi and Dooba Dooba and he believes that love songs are best when they are simple. “Every song has a different emotion but a love song is enjoyed best when there is a certain groove to it and which are simple,” he said on the sidelines of the official launch of Bindaas TV show Yeh Hai Ashiqui. The singer, along with Neeti Mohan, has recorded the title track for the fourth season of the show. “The show is all about love and the song had to portray that. It is beautifully composed and also has a fast beat to it,” he said.
Chauhan shared the reason why he agreed to be part of the project. “I agreed to do it because the song is so passionate and evokes so much emotion. Both Neeti and I were allowed to be free and express the song in our own ways. While recording, we also rendered some fresh portions which were not part of the original composition,” said the singer who will also have a significant presence in the show where he will play the role of a sutradhaar who will stitch the story through a song in the episode.
He recalled for us that his first song for Bollywood is called Guncha from Main Meri Patni aur Woh. He recounted an incident where he was playing at a concert and someone asked him to play that song. “It is a soft song, like a ghazal. You never really know how you how your song reach people,” he said.

Sometimes, just sometimes, it’s important to break the rules. This new season of the flagship property will feature stories that revolve around this very recklessness of the youth, which stems from their passion while in love. The show will narrate fun, crazy, intense and exhilarating love stories of a few young lovers, who will cross the boundaries, put everything at stake, and go to unimaginable levels to win their love in the most unconventional manner possible,” said the makers of the show.
