India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) has always maintained good standards of cleanliness inside its exhibition complex, Pragati Maidan. This year, there are better arrangements to maintain quality cleanliness as per the Swachh Bharat Mission during the India International Trade Fair 2014. As pointed out by one of the jury members of IITF 2014, Jyoti Kalash, “Cleanliness drive is visible, I really felt happy to see co-operation of the public,” while another jury member, Rajesh Chatruvedi noted that this year, IITF had been successful in fulfilling objectives of Rashtriya Swachhta Mission.
There are regular announcements for support in ITPO’s efforts of cleanliness inside the halls and outside. Around 750 dustbins have been kept in food plaza at different locations. Eight small trucks are constantly on the move for clearance of garbage. There is a regular monitoring by the ITPO officials as swachhta is indispensable to create good ambience which is a key aspect to trade and tourism promotion.
