The Mayor of North Delhi, Jai Prakash, says that the Delhi Government’s budget is aimless and far from reality
The Mayor of North Delhi, Jai Prakash, said that the budget presented by Delhi Government is aimless and far from reality. He said that the government has allocated Rs 6,930 crore for the corporation in the financial year 2018-19, Rs 6,380 crore in the financial year 2019-20, Rs 6,828 crore in the financial year 2020-21 and made provision for Rs 6,172 crore in this financial year 2021-22. He said that the government is continuously cutting the budget of corporations.
“The Delhi Government makes provisions for corporations in its budget, but they don’t release funds on time. We have to protest again and again for the same. Due to this attitude, the corporation is not able to start the development work for the people and timely payment of salaries to its employees,” said he.
