ESI Corporation has been providing health care and other social security benefits to the workers of specified wage group over the past 65 years as a labour welfare measure. As a part of Swachh Bharat initiative launched by the Prime Minister, ESIC has introduced many new initiatives like change of bedsheets every day on VIBGYOR pattern in all ESIC Hospitals & Dispensaries.
During the meeting, Deepak Kumar, Director General, ESIC informed that ESIC is having network of 151 Hospitals and 1500 Dispensaries across the country and suggested that as part of the 70th year of Independence Day Celebrations, in line with the Hon'ble Prime Minister's clarion call for promoting Khadi, Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) may be signed between KVIC and ESIC for supply of bedsheets and pillow covers in ESI Hospitals and Dispensaries.
