He thanked and expressed his gratitude towards Ministry of Tourism, Surajkund Mela Authority and Haryana Tourism for offering this opportunity to Jharkhand for being theme state adding that Jharkhand has tried to showcase all its strength in terms of art and culture and religious supremacy in the fair. Prominent among them include Maluti Temple situated in Santhal Pergana Region which got prominence as commemorative structures of the state due to its social connect with the people of Jharkhand.

Bauri greeted everyone on the occasion of inauguration ceremony, pointing out that Jharkhand became a separate state in the year 2000.

“The day when it became a state was very auspicious as it was the birth date of Birsa Munda. Earlier it could not show the culture and the language of Jharkhand to the world. With the help of Surajkund Mela, for the first time, the state is able to show everyone and let everyone know about its culture, tradition, language and food as Surajkund played a very important role in the exposure of Jharkhand,” he added.
