Sennheiser goes wireless

Earlier this month, Sennheiser introduced the PXC 550 wireless headphones in India aimed at business travellers and features NoiseGard Hybrid adaptive noise cancelling. The PXC 550 takes on the Bose QC 35 and the Sony MDR-100ABN which are the other top offerings in this wireless headphones space.  One interesting feature of these pair of headphones is the intuitive ear cup-mounted touch panel which lets you control the volume and playback with just some gestures. Another cool feature is that the headphones are powered off automatically if you turn the ear cup and powered on once you decide to wear it. Aimed at frequent travellers, the built-in battery on these headphones lasts up to 30 hours on a single charge which is the longest for a headphone in this segment. Priced at ` 29,990, the Sennheiser PXC550 is an expensive yet high quality piece of audio equipment from a trusted brand in the audio world and surely gives the Bose QC 35 a tough fight

Facebook live for India

Facebook live is the social network’s live video broadcasting platform and was initially available to only select users and geographies. Now the service is available in India and lets you broadcast live video on your Facebook timeline from any iPhone or Android phone. The live broadcast can last up to 90 minutes and the only piece of equipment you need is a smartphone with a good camera.  You would need a fast internet connection, wifi or mobile data and more importantly fast upload speeds as live video demands a lot of bandwidth and could quickly rack up your mobile bill. All you need is the Facebook app for iOS or Android and you can now broadcast to the world straight from your smartphone.
