After the Ice Bucket Challenge, Bollywood is now in awe of Hrithik Roshan's Bang Bang Dare
Bollywood actors are giving each other a run for money not only at the box office but also in devising creative promotional strategies for their films. Seeking inspiration from the Khans, heartthrob Hrithik Roshan is the latest to come up with unique marketing plan for his forthcoming movie Bang Bang.
He took to Twitter to throw Bang Bang dares at B-Town buds. From Shah Rukh Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Uday Chopra to Dino Morea, the actor gave fitness tasks to friends which are to be completed in three days. After the Ice Bucket Challenge, this Bang Bang dare seems to be the hot pick on social networking websites.
Known for being fitness conscious, Roshan has recently said he had trapped himself in a vicious cycle of an unhealthy lifestyle. Addicted to nicotine, the actor interestingly urged people to quit smoking and wrote that it takes only three days to get off it.
Under the hashtag of #BangBangDare, the actor posed a few tweets. In one of the dares, he asked Shah Rukh to show his picture doing his favourite ab exercise. “To d muscleman @DinoMorea9 your #bangbangdare — 20 parallel bar dips! 1 set!! U have 3 days!! Do u acceptIJ (sic)” he wrote for actor Dino Morea.
Priyanka Chopra, who received bouquets for her onscreen avatar as boxer MC Mary Kom, accepted and performed a handstand with a push up — a dare thrown up at her by Roshan. And she did it wearing a pair of heels!
“The only girl I cud dare this! For super @priyankachopra my #bangbangdare HANDSTAND with a push up!! Do u accept! U have 3 days (sic),” Roshan posted on Twitter. For the fierce and daredevil Priyanka, carrying out the challenge seemed like a cakewalk.
In a video she posted on her Facebook page Monday, Priyanka features wearing casuals and she does exactly what Hrithik asked her to do — albeit with a twist.
“Here you go Hrithik Roshan...a handstand with 3 push ups! In high heels! #bangbangdare ...next time try and make it a little difficult (sic),” she quipped.
Interestingly, looks like Nargis Fakhri’s Twitter post, in which she bats for healthy lifestyle and a no-sugar regime for eight days, has triggered the #BangBangDare.
The actress wrote, “living a healthy lifestyle is not easy. It takes will power to stay away from yum bad stuff. 8 days No coffee & No Sugar! I Dare YOU 2 Try! (sic)”
Scheduled for October 2 release, the Siddharth Anand directorial will reunite Roshan and Katrina Kaif on the big screen after Zoya Akhtar’s Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Peppered with high-octane action sequences, this action thriller promises to be a roller-coaster ride.
