Delhiites have a new weekend destination to explore, Hyatt Regency at NH 8. Iknoor Kaur visited the newly launched property
It was difficult to imagine a five-star property laced with world class facilities on a highway known earlier for dhabas. Hyatt Hotels Corporation employed six acres of space on NH 8 recently and launched their new property, Hyatt Regency.
“Recognising the city’s growth and ability, Hyatt Hotels Corporation found it imperative to open a Regency Hotel in Gurgaon,” said Federico Mantoani, General Manager, Hyatt Regency Gurgaon.
With a contemporary theme and subtle décor, the hotel has 16 floors. located on the Delhi-Jaipur highway, it caters to the Delhi-Gurgaon crowd, and the circle of Agra and Jaipur.
Maulina Gupta, director of sales and marketing mentioned that a lot has gone into planning the hotel. “Being a Regency Hotel, we focus more on our event spaces like ballrooms and boardrooms, but along with that we want guests to consider this as a weekend getaway,” she said.
The hotel has 37 luxurious suites, with facilities like high speed Internet. It has four specially designed Regency Club floors, a Regency ballroom and three boardrooms.
The second floor is their food and beverage section. Their fine dining restaurant, lavana, serves Awadhi cuisine. The lounge offers premium teas and coffee with homemade goodies. While The Kitchen District is a multi-cuisine restaurant, The long Bar can accommodate 40 people.
They also have recreational services. The hotel opened to public two weeks ago. “I always saw potential in this area. People here need a place for meetings and events,” added Federico.
