Kishwer Merchant, who has been recently in the news for announcing her wedding with Suyyash Rai , talks to Unnati Joshi about her role in 'Brahmarakshas- Jaag Utha Shaitan’ and how she continues to enjoy doing negative roles
Talking about the Hindi drama show that was premiered on Saturday, Merchant told us, "It was after a long time that I did Brahmarakshas. The story of the drama revolves around a Brahman man who kills newly- wed brides. When he died stars were in positioned in such way that he didn't die but became a 'rakshas' (monster) instead and hence the drama was named 'Brahmarakshas- Jaag Utha Shaitan'.
About her character in the show Merchant told us, "After Bigg Boss I was waiting for a good offer to come my way. This was the first one to come and I took it. I am playing Aparajita in it. It's a negative character, who is afraid of her second husband. I love doing negative characters as they are very interesting. In positive roles, sometimes, all that you get to do is just to smile or cry", she quips.
Merchant was last seen in Bigg Boss season 9 from which she had to quit involuntarily. She told us that she is in touch with everybody 'including' Mandana of Bigg Boss season 9 . "I am in touch with everyone except Aman", she said. Aman Verma, are you listeningIJ
"My first facebook fan page was made after Pyaar ki ek kahani. I became popular after my vampire show but it grew a lot more after Big Boss," she added.
