Dr Sudhir Krishna, IAS, secretary (UD) recently inaugurated Plastic Waste to Fuel Conversion Plant (Zero Waste) at New Moti Bagh GPRA Complex, Delhi.
GPRA Complex of Ministry of Urban Development, Govt of India, is the only complex in India which has been rated as the first and the largest certified government project under green homes. It is a zero waste complex in terms of waste water and solid waste.Also, the plastic waste which was earlier being sent to various industries for recycling, will now be treated within the complex to convert it into fuel such as light Diesel Oil (lDO), lPG and carbon black.
Among the other distinguished guests who were present at the inauguration were Dr Anoop Kumar Mittal, CMD, RK Agarwal, GM and incharge of New Moti Bagh Complex, NBCC.
