Beer lovers in the city have a reason to rejoice with a weeklong fest that includes crawls and master classes and a chance to taste some excellent craft beer. By Sharang Bhaskaran

If beer is more your speed, this is something you just don’t want to miss! For the first time, a beer fest happening in Gurgaon will give beer-lovers in the city the treat of their life. So if you are a fan of those brewskies, and like throwing back a few after a long day at work, there are over 20 breweries and dozens of flavours you can take your pick from. From weizen or wheat beer and Indian pale ale to stout, dark ale and even oats flavoured beer, it so many flavours, and so little time.

Scheduled from June 11 and going on up to June 18, Beer Week is a eight day series fuelled by events that will take place in breweries in Gurgaon to unite thousands of craft beer enthusiasts and food lovers for a unique tippling experience. The carnival will touch 24 breweries across the city with a variety of tasting sessions, parties and master classes in the art of pouring the perfect beer concoctions throughout the week, showcasing quality craft beer and educating beer enthusiasts.

Master classes will help the beer lovers to learn the secrets behind brewing beer. And enthusiasts can taste unique concoctions made from ingredients such as barley, wheat, corn, rice and rye. Get up, close and dirty making your brews with some amazing craftsmen like Thean Kruger, Ishan Grover, Goyano and John Eapan. You can definitely learn a thing or two from them. A special beer making contest will be held where participants can present their cocktails in front of some the master brewers and get a chance to win, well, more beer! Isn’t that amazingIJ

But the beer crawl is the most exciting part of the week, wherein participants can take a tour of multiple breweries in Gurgaon and throw back a few suds of refreshingly well tasting, crafted beer. Of course, there’s also some great food to go with that. So chug away and don’t worry about that beer belly.
