To ensure safety of consumers during winter season, Tata Power Delhi Distribution (TPDDl) undertook a mass electrical safety drive at various JJ clusters of North and North West Delhi with sizeable population like Sanjay Basti, N-86 JJ cluster Keshavpuram, Basant Dada Patil Nagar, Chuna Bhatti, Outram lines, Bhalla Factory (HGI labour Colony) et al. Through the drive, TPDDl  intends to educate JJ residents on safety measures while using electrical appliances such as heating rods, heaters, geysers et al. The initiative is also focussing on the importance of proper wiring and MCBs in all households in order to avoid any untoward incident. Residents are also getting important  tips on energy  conservation and on how to make optimum usage of electricity.

Moreover, to encourage JJ residents on safety practices, the company is felicitating residents at these JJ clusters for adopting effective safety and energy conservation practices.

The response to the drive has been encouraging as hundreds of  nominations have been received in each area. Team is evaluating and rewarding households on parameters such as installation of MCB, usage of lED bulbs, proper wiring, consciousness on safety and efficient utilisation of energy.

Commenting on the mass safety drive at JJ Clusters, Praveer Sinha, CEO & MD, TPDDl said, “True to our ethos, we have always strived for consumer safety and energy conservation. It has been observed that electrical accidents are common during winters due to increased usage of heating rods, heaters, geysers et al. Though this drive, we aim to spread awareness related to electrical safety amongst our JJ consumer.”
