Packed with all things trendy, from fashionable apparel, funky jewellery, footwear and accessories, the second edition of ‘Fashionnquill’ dazed the capital in a new avatar. This year this exhibition-cum-sale was hosted at The Lalit Hotel, New Delhi and was presented in the format of a trunk show, titled—Fashionnquill: The Winter Trunk Show.
As many as 30 new and talented designers were seen showcasing their collections. The event proved to be a perfect fusion of Indian and western wear, targeted at the millennial and the working women.
Mithi Kalra, one of the directors of N&M Evenire Private Limited, also the organisor of the event said, “We have always attempted to bring in a platform for the new comers in the industry to showcase their talent. We are trying to establish a niche for this type of an exhibition. The designers here are either a month old in the industry or have been around for 20 years in the industry. Their designs are fresh and not something that you can find in the market. The reason we hosted this exhibition at The Lalit Hotel was to target the crème de la crème of the fashion industry, who can afford the styles and also become brand ambassadors for the designers.”
The other directors, Mohit and Nishant Kumar Tomar, promised that though this edition of the show was more focused on women wear, the next edition would showcase more designer wear for men. Tomar also informed that in March 2019, the company is planning to organise a large scale carnival which will be an open festival of fashion in Delhi. He added, “It is exciting and inspiring to see the quantum of talent and entrepreneurial spirit that proliferates in our country and gratifying to have an opportunity to be part of a process that will shape the fashionscape of the future.”
