Feminal Cosmology 2014, an exhibition showing works of 22 women artists, is being held at AIFACS. The artists have moved beyond the oil-on-canvas and acrylic ambit and utilised unorthodox media, such as printed fabric, gold leaf, plastic waste. Ritu Chopra’s paintings are called Divine Dancers and are inspired from book Shiva: Eye of the Storm. “The key source to enlighten my imagination and create these paintings is a translation of verse from the Raghvamsha-Kalidas by the author in the book,” says the artist.
