Ghansham Bansal, Chief Vigilance Officer, DMRC has written a book titled Public Servants Companion, which is a detailed account of the various rules and regulations. These must be known to every public servant during their service life.
Written in a very lucid, easy to understand manner, the book sheds light on various aspects of a public servant’s service life such as review of service, promotions, disciplinary proceedings, departmental enquiries et al. Bansal, an IRSE officer of the 1990 batch has over 30 years of experience in handling various aspects of project construction and monitoring in the Indian Railways. Before this publication, he has authored three technical books on civil engineering. For a technical book in Raj Bhasha, he was also honoured with the Rajiv Gandhi Award by the President of India in 2008.
