Former Quantico star Priyanka Chopra has walked out of the Salman Khan starring film Bharat because of her alleged impending wedding plans. Nick Jonas, her rumoured beau, reportedly popped the question to the international actress who recently turned 36 on her birthday on July 18. There are rumours that she has already finalised a gown for the ceremony that can take place as early as October.
“Yes Priyanka Chopra is no more part of @Bharat_TheFilm & and the reason is very very special , she told us in the Nick of time about her decision and we are very happy for her ... Team Bharat wishes @priyankachopra loads of love & happiness for life,” tweeted director Ali Abbas Zafar.
However, her decision has reportedly angered Salman so much so that he has vowed to never work with her again. She has not walked out of Farhan Akhtar’s The Sky is Pink and producer Sanjay leela Bhansali’s Gustakhiyan, probably because the shoot schedules don’t collide. Jonas reportedly shut down a Tiffany’s store to buy the engagement ring with which he proposed her recently, according to reports online. Of course, Chopra deserves to make her own choices but then should not have signed Bharat at all and compromised her professionalism that she is known for.
Meanwhile, online reports suggest that PC’s peer, actress Deepika Padukone, will be marrying long-time partner Ranveer Singh in November at Italy’s lake Como. The duo finalised the location after considering multiple options. The town is located at the foot of the Alps and the wedding ceremony will be held on November 10. The preparation from both families is in full swing, it was reported.
