When you are at an Italian-themed gathering, there are two things you can expect: good food and good company.
So when Creo, an interior design and furniture house, thought of hosting one such evening to showcase their latest collection ‘Fantoni’, they brought together great designs — interiors and cuisine. Celebrity chef Ritu Dalmia, who besides being the owner of the Italian restaurants under the banner Diva is also the brand ambassador of Fisher & Paykel Appliances from Italy, had put together a live kitchen and treated the guests to some great authentic Italian savouries. Wine and champagne flowed as she played her way through knives and pans, leaving the audience enthralled.
She prepared different variants of ravioli and delicious fettuccini to be served with breads from her own recipes. “I love to treat people who love their food,” she said as she scooped extra cheese on ravioli before serving it. “Italian cooking can be quick and easy, if you make sure you have your preparations right,” she quipped. The guests, including the Ambassador of Italy, Daniel Mancini, were seen cheering for the chef and the chatter only got louder with every bite.
