The officers of Bureau of Indian Standards with the help of local police conducted raid at the premises of Om Sai Water in Vishwas Nagar. During the raid a jar of capacity 20 litre with above brand names and ISI Mark were seized as documentary evidence for further legal prosecution.
During the visit it was observed that the firm has manufacturing facilities for packaged drinking water and was manufacturing the product in 20 litre jar with BIS standard mark and with brands Aqua Star (l-3253448) and Bisleri (l-8739196) without having valid BIS licence, thus violating Section 11(1) of BIS Act 1986.
