The finalists of Nach Baliye season 5 chat with Prerna Sharma about their show experience and final rehearsals to win the title
Their falling in each other’s arms and flying in the air acts must have reminded you of the first dance you did with your partner. The participants of Nach Baliye season 5 worked hard with their choreographers to make you believe that they are the sweetest and the most understanding couple on this earth. And as the show is nearing its finals, it seems the task has just got more tough. Four couples have been selected for the finale. We spoke to three of them.
Too much in love:
Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta, met on the sets of show 12/24 Karol Bagh and soon realised that they are in love. They were excited when channel approached them for the show as they were already looking forward to work together. “Our journey on Nach has been full of ups and downs. I think it made us stronger in personal life. Every time we were in danger zone, we practiced harder to come out as a stronger contestant,” said Sargun.
They both are good dancers but were not able to show their zeal for dance in the beginning. “We both love dancing. After a point of time, it was not about the show, but our self-respect that motivated us to work harder. We had the most tumultuous time, as we got less marks in the beginning. Now, we are confident about our performances. Our shoulder act was the most difficult one. Now that we have survived, I want to see myself as a winner of the show,” said Ravi.
After a courtship of three years, Ravi finally proposed Sargun on the sets on Nach. “That was the most beautiful moment of my life.” Sargun gushed and added, “Marriage comes into the picture when you are head over heels in love. I was shocked and surprised.”
The ‘most-deserving’ ones:
Filmmaker Sajid Khan, who is judging the show, has already predicted Jay Bhanushali and his wife Mahi Vij as winners. The “most deserving couple” at the moment is sweating hard on the dance floor to win the title of Nach. The two have been consistent with their dance acts so far and have impressed all the three judges on the show. “Trust and understanding makes the bond stronger. We have a robust bonding and it also reflects in our performance. We keep getting compliments like ‘cutest couple, ‘best couple’ and lots more by the judges. But it is not easy to dance and especially for a person like me who is lazy enough to stay thirsty but get a glass of water for myself. I don’t consider myself a good dancer but I am a hardworking dancer. I practice for 17-18 hours a day, and then deliver my best,” said Jay.
“I love dancing since childhood. We have never worked together, so when we got this chance to do a show we grabbed it. Now that the finale is approaching, it is making both of us jittery. We want to win the show but with respect. We don’t want to be called out a couple who just won because we are famous.”
Fulfilling each other’s dream:
They have been setting examples on what a perfect jodi should be like. After supporting each other through thick and thin of life, Suhasi Dhami and Jaysheel are rehearsing hard to win the show. Actress Suhasi convinced her stock broker husband to be a part of the show. “When Suhasi told me that I am supposed to face the camera and dance, I was a bit reluctant. In fact, my first experience in front the camera was bad. I had to appeal for vote, and was not able to speak a single sentence properly,” said Jaysheel.
They both enjoy each other’s company during the practice sessions. “With each and every performance it becomes difficult to match the expectations of judges and viewers. I don’t have a fan following, but Suhasi has. They all want us to win. It’s not decided what we are going to perform at the finale, but we will invest our 100 per cent in it. Suhasi wants to win the show, and I want to win it for her,” ended Jaysheel.
