Fibre fishing boat, Mahjeshwari with 7 fishermen was rescued by the coast gaurds after Maritime rescue sub- centre, New Mangalore recieved information from VTS, New Magalore about the distressed fishing boat which was about 3.5 nautical miles southwest of Mangalore at about 9:25 am on June 7.
