The general manager of Metro Railway felicitated the runners up of the 43rd All India Railway Bridge Championship
Manoj Joshi, general manager of Metro Railway felicitated the six-member team of Metro Railway, which took part in the 43rd All India Railway Bridge Championship, 2021. It concluded on December 20 at Metro Rail Bhawan.
The Metro team, comprising Sumit Mukherjee, Debabrata Majumder, Anindra Kumar Sarkar, Swarup Ghosh, Sujit Ghosh and Manabendra Nath Majumder, has achieved the second position in the team event in this championship.
Mukherjee and Majumder have also occupied second position in the pair category in the championship. Congratulating every member of the team for this achievement, Joshi wished that Metro team wins many such tournaments in future.
The Kolkata Metromen — Mukherjee and Majumder, as a part of six-member Indian team — also won the Asia and Middle-East Bridge Championship held in Noida recently and qualified for the World Bridge Championship to be held in Italy in March, 2022.
