Celebrating its centenary year with number of academic activities by each department, lady Hardinge Medical College and two associated hospitals, Smt. Sucheta Kriplani Hospital and Kalawati Saran Children Hospital, organised convocation on 21st September, 2016. President of India, Pranab Mukherjee was the chief guest for the function.
The only medical college in Delhi at the time of independence, the foundation stone of this institution was laid down by lady Hardinge on 17th March 1914. The college has come a long way in the last 100 years, retaining its unique character, still marching ahead with the times and is upgrading itself dynamically in all its fields of activities.
