Bharat Heavy Electricals limited (BHEl) has been awarded for exemplary work in the field of health care services for the needy and poor under its CSR support initiatives.
Instituted by HelpAge India, the award was conferred upon BHEl in recognition of its zeal and commitment to provide quality medical services to the underprivileged and in particular, the elderly living in the remote/backward regions of the country.
The award was presented by Dr Syeda Hameed, member, Planning Commission in the presence of a host of eminent persons including Justice (Retd) leila Seth, Mark Gorman, director — strategic development, HelpAge International (UK), among others.
