That magical season is now upon us. The most important celebration of the year in France and many other countries, Christmas means family unity, a time for solidarity and, of course a time to savour succulent, festively decorated desserts. “I have very fond memories from my youth in France, snuggling by the fire at night,” remembers laurent Samandari, co-founder and Managing Director. “And the beautiful desserts lit up the ambience, rendering the whole experience magical,” he further shares. The traditional Plum Cake is a must, and is not to be missed.
But Christmas wouldn’t be the same without biscuits. In addition to the traditional, festive shaped butter biscuits, shortbread biscuits and ginger snaps to share with the whole family. “As a child,” Cédric describes, “I used to be so fascinated by Meringues; so airy, crunchy and sweet! And so I thought I should make them this year with Christmas colours.”
Chocolate, one of the world’s preferred ingredients, has a special place in French culinary culture, so it has not been neglected, in addition to it’s recently launched line of chocolates, Santa Claus shaped chocolates will surely be a favourite of the children.
