A hidden truth connects ancient myths with modern-day science mysteries
A groundbreaking young adult novel, Thuldrun.Sunya, has captivated readers, debuting at No. 1 in Hot & New Releases and No. 1 on the Bestsellers list in the Urban Fantasy category.
Co-authored by qualitative researcher Sheetal Choksi and technologist Samiran Ghosh (two-thirds of the award-winning 3 Techies Banter podcast), this innovative work combines ancient Indian mythology with futuristic science, offering a fresh perspective on the origins of civilisation theories.
Set in Mumbai, Thuldrun.Sunya follows teenager Ansh Chatterjee (teen, conspiracy nerd, Maggi addict), who accidentally uncovers a secret that challenges historical narratives and pits him against a destructive force from 3,000 years ago. Rooted in real locations and theories, the novel masterfully blends mystery, science, and myth into a compelling narrative that redefines the boundaries of young adult fiction.
“Thuldrun.Sunya explores the intersection of India’s pracheen wisdom and modern technological possibility,” said co-author Samiran Ghosh. “The past doesn’t need resurrection – it needed translation. We have a potential explanation.” Sheetal Choksi adds, “Podcasts are just books waiting to happen. Ours took mythology, quantum physics, two authors, and turned our mythology-versus-science debates into literary jazz.”
The result is a meticulously crafted work that appeals to readers seeking intelligent, thought-provoking storytelling. Thuldrun.Sunya is a signpost for where Indian young adult fiction is heading. The book was released in at Kunzum book store in New Delhi.
Thuldrun.Sunya is a bold, genre-defying debut that reimagines Indian mythology through a lens of cutting-edge science. It offers young readers an exhilarating mix of intrigue, intellect and imagination.
