BIS conducted search and seizure operation in Geeta Colony, Delhi with the assistance of local police during the operation, firm was manufacturing domestic pressure cookers and aluminium utensils with ISI mark with various brands without having valid BIS license thus violating Section 11 (1) of BIS Act 1986.
During the raid, sufficient material was seized as a documentary evidence for further legal prosecution. legal action, including launching of prosecution against the offender is being initiated by BIS. BIS, request the general public for any information regarding any misuse of ISI mark the same may be brought to the notice of BIS, timely action will be taken by the Bureau for carrying out search and seizure operations and launching prosecution against the offenders under BIS Act, 1986.
