India's favorite awesome twosome from Furfurinagar, Motu Patlu are all set to enthrall children with their maiden theatrical outing, Motu Patlu King of Kings
Sushant Singh Rajput, who was, present at the trailer launch of Motu Patlu King of Kings, says he has been a comic book lover since his childhood. “Motu and Patlu are very popular characters. While making animated films one has to keep in mind the quality of animation, story and the popularity of characters but what is more important is that we need to be careful and intelligent while making films for kids”, Sushant said. “We can’t take things for granted and make frivolous stuff. We can’t take their (kids) intelligence for granted. I want to watch this film”, the 30-year-old actor said.
This was a cross promotion for the actor as he was present to promote his upcoming film M S Dhoni: The Untold Story. Talking about being a part of the trailer launch the actor said, “The enigmatic MS Dhoni is an icon for the youth and has a huge fan following and I hear the awesome twosome Motu Patlu have an equally large fan following among the kids of the country. It is a pleasure to be a part of the announcement of the Big Screen Debut of these much loved characters who have a significant influence on children”.
On their big screen debut, Motu Patlu said, “We are super excited to be debuting in a magnum opus 3D stereoscopic film. Children have loved us on the small screen and our new adventures and visual extravaganza will surely entertain and excite them.” On having the calm and composed Sushant Singh, for the trailer launch of their movie debut, the duo said “Children are huge fans of MS Dhoni just like they are huge fans of ours.
Hence, having Sushant who playing ‘Captain Cool’ share a platform is sure to get our fans excited and entertained on both our movie and the biopic on Dhoni MS Dhoni - The Untold Story.
Best Friends Motu Patlu areliving in a small town in the heartland of India, known as Furfuri Nagariya. Entrapped in a plot with a runaway circus lion, a lion king trying to protect his kingdom and a greedy poacher who wants to ruin the jungle life - Motu Patlu must wage a battle to save the jungle.
Some of the leading names from the Indian film industry have also been roped in for this movie. National award winning duo Vishal Bhardwaj and Gulzar come together again to create a magical track for this animation movie with singer Sukhwinder Singh, who has lent his voice for the soundtrack.
Ketan Mehta, the producer of Motu Patlu King of Kings, believes that things will change in animation industry post the release of the film. “Animation has not succeeded in India yet. It is still in its infancy, it’s just 15-year-old while in Hollywood it's an 80-year-old tradition. We have a long way to go”, he said.
“Now whole generation of children is growing up on animation and they are forcing their parents to come and watch the film with them. I think this film will be a turning point in animation movies here”, Ketan added.
The film, which releases on October 14, is the first ever 3D stereoscopic animated movie for Viacom18 Motion Pictures.
