The fallout between IIFA and its former face and brand ambassador Amitabh Bachchan made headlines sometime back. “IIFA says my services are not required,” Bachchan had commented two years ago. However, we hear the organisers of IIFA are now trying to revive strained relations with the Bachchan family. If sources are to be believed, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan have been approached to make this year’s IFFA-related announcements at a star-studded event in Delhi. “We are unsure how they are involved. But the Bachchan pair is expected to grace IIFA’s curtain raiser at Kingdom of Dreams this Tuesday,” said a source. However, Wizcraft Entertainment, the company which organises IIFA awards, have neither confirmed nor denied the news. “We are talking to several celebrities. Nothing is confirmed yet. People are speculating a lot and spreading rumours. There is no official communication circulated within the company whether or not the Bachchan pair are involved. But they are being considered for the same.” Repeated attempts to reach Wizcraft failed. Wondering what Mr Bachchan’s reaction this time will be!
