The Director General Assam Rifles HQ conducted the first ever specialists' medical camp at Vijaynagar, Arunachal Pradesh. The camp aimed at providing specialist medical facilities to the residents of the area since it is virtually impossible for the populace to avail such detailed medical check-up in the remote area, which till today is bereft of any road connectivity. A medical team of Assam Rifles led by Director Medical and Colonel Medical from HQ DGAR and eye and ENT specialists from Assam Rifles Composite Hospital and two doctors from Jairampur Battalion of Assam Rifles, conducted this camp, benefiting 99 patients from the Vijaynagar Circle. The follow up actions in terms of providing them with numbered spectacles as ascertained by the eye specialist and hearing aids will be delivered to these residents through Assam Rifles post at Vijaynagar.
