leo Tolstoy had once said art is what the artists do. With such simplicity we can define the beauty of art. It has prose, poetry and expression — in short — a variety of passion expressed by the artists. A group exhibition of eight artists titled Creative Fantasies has evolved from this very concept. They have expressed their thoughts through these paintings. The participating artists are Murthy, Nandita Desai, Krupa Shah, Niharika Kashyap, Harish Kumar, Mona Sikka, Jatin and Meghanad Ganpule.
As a curator, it has been an exhilarating journey for Vikram Sethi. He said, “Researching and documenting of information got me further involved with the artists at a deeper level of understanding and imparting a new insight into their works. This exhibition showcases realistic, abstract, representational artworks of these contemporary artists.” Sethi has been curating and organising art shows for more than 20 years and holds the national record for selling different artworks of various artists in six consecutive shows (not auctions) from September 2013 to March 2014.
